Training and Consulting
Consulting & Professional Services
My consulting and professional services support organizations, educators, clinicians, and communities navigating the mental health implications of climate change, disaster exposure, and evolving professional expectations. Grounded in research, ethics, and lived experience, these offerings are designed to strengthen professional capacity, support sustainable practice, and foster thoughtful, climate-informed care across settings.
Across all engagements, I emphasize integration rather than add-on solutions—helping individuals and systems respond to complexity with clarity, responsibility, and attention to context.
❋ Professional Development
I design and deliver professional development experiences that translate climate mental health research into accessible, practice-relevant learning. These sessions address topics such as climate-related distress and eco-anxiety, disaster exposure, ethical decision-making, and the evolving role of mental health professionals in a changing world.
Offerings range from short webinars to extended workshops and are tailored to audience needs, professional roles, and organizational context..
❋ Climate- and Disaster-Informed Supervision & Training
(Community Agencies & Group Practices)
I provide training and consultation for community agencies, group practices, and supervision teams seeking to respond more intentionally to climate-related stressors and disaster exposure. This work attends to supervision in contexts of cumulative stress, shared community impact, and ethical complexity—particularly in regions experiencing repeated or chronic climate events.
Consultation may focus on supervisor preparedness, parallel process, staff sustainability, ethical decision-making, and organizational responses to climate-related disruption.
❋ CACREP 2024 Consulting & Accreditation Support
I provide applied consulting to support counselor education programs in the implementation of the 2024 CACREP standards and the preparation of accreditation materials. This work is designed for programs seeking not only compliance, but coherence—helping faculty and leadership translate standards into curriculum, supervision structures, faculty roles, and program processes that are clearly documented and defensible.
Consulting support includes hands-on guidance for:
interpreting and operationalizing the 2024 standards across program areas
curriculum mapping and alignment with student learning outcomes
development and refinement of self-study narratives, tables, and supporting documentation
faculty workload, supervision, and role documentation
preparation for CACREP reviews, including internal audits and readiness checks
Drawing on extensive experience with CACREP self-study, mid-cycle review, and program leadership, I work collaboratively with programs to reduce uncertainty, clarify expectations, and strengthen the quality of accreditation materials. This support is especially helpful for programs navigating new or revised standards, complex delivery formats, or faculty and structural transitions.
❋ Forest Therapy: Guided Workshops & Events
I offer forest therapy–informed workshops and guided experiences that support well-being, reflection, and connection with the natural world. These offerings draw from evidence-informed nature-based practices and are designed for individuals, professional groups, and organizations seeking restorative, place-based experiences.
Forest therapy workshops may support professional reflection, community connection, or personal well-being, and are facilitated with attention to accessibility, safety, and ethical practice.
❋ Clinical Supervision for Licensure
(Virginia & Ohio)
I provide clinical supervision for licensure to counselors practicing in Virginia and Ohio, grounded in relational, reflective, and ethically attentive supervision practices. My supervision approach integrates clinical skill development, professional identity formation, and attention to contextual factors—including climate-related stressors and community-level impacts—shaping client work.
Supervision is offered for pre-licensed clinicians seeking supportive, thoughtful guidance that balances accountability, care, and professional growth.
